Jennifer also instructs beading classes as part of the PTA Enrichment Program to elementary-age students at Tuckahoe Elementary in Arlington Virginia (from which her daughter Zoë recently graduated in 2003). Jennifer generally teaches two classes each semester, one at the beginning level and one at an advanced level. In spring of 2004, she also added a jewelry marketing class where students learned about jewelry marketing. They planned out a small craft show where they bought supplies at wholesale prices, constructed jewelry, made presentational materials, set up a display and then held the sale at the end of the school year. Proceeds were donated to the school to help finance future art projects at the school. Jennifer also gave each participant a gift certificate at Star’s Beads in Vienna, Virginia (a GREAT bead store!)!
